WHAT IT WAS

In the years preceding the Pandemic, Organizational Efficiency was a measure that was almost always equated to how well an individual was producing output over a period of time. Thus, metrics developed over a period, which catered to a “partial view “of Organizational efficiency.

Factors such as the role perceptions of an individual, the quality of inputs provided to the individual, methods of providing inputs was limited to sporadic interventions that were expected to add to individual efficiency. Organizations believed that an individual was accountable for handling their own energies and rise to the levels of their attainable performance based on their desire, skills and abilities.

WHAT IT IS NOW

In the post Pandemic world, Organization Efficiency has become a key variable that accounts not only for Business results, but also Output Quality, and their worth in terms of organizational objectives.

 

Efficiency in organizations is now a mix of variables that require equal focus rather than just dashboards that throw up information pertaining to output. There are challenges of Individual goals alignment to organizational goals, along with methods of supervision and other factors that contribute to utilization of Individual efficiencies, that need to explored and ascertained, while keeping focus on the factors causing delays and the rate of adaptation to change.
